500 miles to go! Thank you for visiting The Team Toby 500 web site. The event is all about helping people who may in future benefit from advances in cancer treatments or research into heart diseases. To this end I am aiming to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation by completing seven bike rides that together add up to 500 miles. This is a big challenge and I hope that I can count on your support.

  Why? - 2004 was a very sad year for my family, losing my father-in-law, Eric, to cancer in November and my own mother to a heart attack very soon afterwards. Eric and my Mum both thoroughly enjoyed the countryside and this is my own way of remembering them and doing something positive. Please use this site to sponsor me online, see details of the rides including how to join one, watch my progess and see how to be in with a chance of winning a prize. There are online sponsorship forms for Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation.
What is It? - The Team Toby 500 is seven bike rides covering 500 miles for charity, combining off-road routes like the South Downs Way with old favourites such as the London to Brighton.
